Easter Basket

A couple of weeks ago I went on a one day mixed media course at Alston Hall college. The course tutor was Priscilla Jones who does some lovely work. She makes 3d sculptures using wire and paper/fabric and wax mainly teacups/saucers and spoons.

I thought I would try making a teacup but me being heavy handed it ended up looking more like a mug - so I added a handle and changed it into a basket and one of the ladies on the course said that because of the colours I had used, it could be an easter basket. So here it is....

Just need to fill it with choccy easter eggs ....yummy.

Felted wall hanging

I recently attended a felting workshop tutored by Janet Philips from The Threshing Barn, Farfield Mill and I produced a felted landscape using the resist felt method of construction. It just needs some stitch adding to it.

This one is of the daffs outside my house.

Spring time

Hi
I was on my way back from a patchwork group I go to at Parbold and saw some daffodils through an hawthorn hedge and couldn't help but stop to take some photos.
It was on a bad bend along a country lane but I wasn't going to be detered and so camera in hand I perilously balanced on the side of the road peeking through the hedge and listening out for cars and took this photo.
